A project by Venetian Masters
On the occasion of Tod's partnership with the Italian Pavilion at the 60th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, Tod's pays homage to the Italian artisanal tradition with the new chapter of “The Art of Craftsmanship, a Project by Venetian Masters”.
Eleven Venetian Masters interpret the Gommino and the high-quality craftsmanship through their art, tools, and mastery. The union between Tod's and Venice was born to promote a message of knowledge, well-done work, and beauty, symbols of the most authentic values where quality and tradition come together in a joined endeavour.
The project is presented with an exhibition in a suggestive setting at the Tese San Cristoforo.
In a blend that represents a shared notion between Tod's and the invaluable skills of the Master craftsmen, the Gommino and the brand's codes have given life to unique and original works that celebrate contemporary style and the charm of ancient craftsmanship.
In September 2024, on the occasion of Milan Fashion Week, TOD'S showrooms in Tokyo, Japan, were dressed in the graphics created by Gianpaolo Fallani for the Venetian project.
Gianpaolo Fallani was invited to the Tod's shop in the Isetan Shinjuku Shopping Centre in Tokyo to create a series of graphics created for the event, which were printed in front of the store's audience of customers in a three-day event full of emotions that intrigued and fascinated everyone present.
