Advanced Screen Printing Course

First Course was held in December 2013.

The participants, Antonella Campisi, Mario Ciaramitaro, Tommaso Gorla and Daniele Zoico, found themselves working on the theme "Fixing a Shadow," helped by the following excerpt:

He leaves. He opens the door, walks out without looking back, and closes it behind him. I go to the window and my eyes follow her figure from behind as she walks away, before disappearing into the shadows of some building. I stand there for a long time, my hand resting on the edge of the window, staring at the spot where she disappeared. Maybe she might realize she forgot to tell me something, and come back. But she doesn't come back. All that remains at that spot is a kind of invisible hollow that has the shape of her absence.

The Advanced Screen Printing Course offers the opportunity for a group of four people to experiment with screen printing technique through the creation of a work, by each participant, with a number of colors, a format, a print run and a theme decided by the Course curator.
Over the course of a week, participants will attend the workshop and compare their own and their peers' work with each other.
The prints will then be collected in a folder designed and created by the participants.
