He was born in Venice, Italy, in 1988. Ever since he was a child, Mattia has always been passionate about drawing and fine arts and has actively attended drawing and painting courses. This passion led him to pursue an academic career at the State School of Art in Venice. This school is rooted in the ancient artistic traditions of this fascinating city, and covers a wide range of creative subjects, such as painting, sculpture, mosaics and graphics. During his studies, he had the opportunity to participate in and win several competitions organised by the school. After graduating from art school with a diploma in pictorial decoration, he started to build a solid foundation to turn his passion into a profession. That is why he moved to Milan to continue his studies at the IED (European Institute of Design), where he obtained a scholarship for the three-year visual communication course: a creative workshop where all the tools, linguistic expressions, techniques and technologies involved in visual communication were presented to students. He specialised in illustration and is now part of the graphic design team at UNITED COLORS OF BENETTON and also works as a freelancer.
