He leaves. He opens the door, leaves without turning around, and closes it behind him. I go to the window and my eyes follow her figure from behind as she walks away, before disappearing into the shadows of some building. I stand there for a long time, my hand resting on the edge of the window, staring at the spot where she disappeared. Maybe she might realise she forgot to tell me something, and come back. But she doesn't come back. All that remains at that point is a kind of invisible hollow that has the shape of her absence.
